Owner and stylist, Shaina Tapia, has over 20 years’ experience working in the pet care industry. Shaina has excelled in her industry because of her attention to detail, and excellent rapport with her clients, passion for her line of work, and most importantly because of her love for dogs.
Shaina started in the grooming industry young. In 1995, she worked alongside her mom, a fellow groomer learning the trade, techniques, and dog psychology, throughout her grade school years.
When Shaina graduated high school, she went on to college. While in college she could not find a field she felt she would be as happy in, as she was in the grooming field. It was then that she learned where her passion in life laid – with the dogs.
In 2005, Shaina moved to Bend, Oregon. Where she jumped back into grooming, and although she worked at several grooming shops, she realized she wanted to start a service of her own.
In 2011, Clean Mutts & Puppy Cuts was formed! Shaina was sure she would now have a place where the dogs would be taken care of the way they deserve!
MEET OUR STAFF
Summer is our groomer assistant. She joined our team in October 2025. Although the grooming world is new to her, she has been a long time lover of all furry friends. Summer is very empathetic with all the dogs she works with, is a quick learner, and is very receptive to taking on any task. She has been a great addition to our staff and is willing to help with all of your pets needs.
Sherlie is our groomers assistant. She joined our team in June of 2025. She has 3 years of work experience at veterinary offices, and 3 years of working with reptiles. Sherlie loves all animals and has a strong passion for learning all thing about them. She excels in customer communication and is very adaptable. Whether you walk in the shop or give us a call Sherlie is here to help.
